Meet Our Companion Animal Veterinary Team

Dr. Jeff Buckland graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1997 and after graduation worked in a mixed animal clinic in the Ottawa Valley.
He joined the Kirkton Veterinary Professional Corporation in the spring of 1999 and later completed the Dairy Certificate Program in 2004. Jeff works in the Food Animal division of the practice and also practices Small Animal Medicine out of both the Kirkton Veterinary Clinic and St. Marys Veterinary Clinic. Jeff Lives outside of St. Marys with his wife Kim and their three children James, Hannah and Jonathan and a cat, Amelia. He enjoys sailing, camping, and canoeing when time permits.

Dr. Erin Minten hails from London Ontario, where she lived before moving with her parents to a hobby farm just outside of London.
She did a high school co-op at the Ilderton Pet Hospital and worked there while attending Western for three years of undergraduate biology before going to the Ontario Veterinary College, graduating in 2017. Her passion is small animal medicine though she grew up riding horses and has a special fondness for them. She now lives in St. Marys and enjoys outdoor activities, hockey, riding her horse Ace and spending time with her husband Steve and their cat Nyx. She is also an active member of the Holy Name of Mary Parish in St. Marys.

Dr. Jessica Davison is originally from New Hamburg, where she grew up with her two sisters and parents. She graduated with distinction, from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2017, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, with distinction, at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021.
She currently lives in Tavistock with her husband, Josh, and her Golden Retriever, Denny. Jessica enjoys spending her spare time with her friends and family, staying active, and traveling as much as possible. She has a specialist interest in long-term preventive healthcare, surgical procedures, and orthopaedic concerns.

Dr. Cassandra Carolino is originally from Putnam, where she grew up with her identical twin sister, two older brothers, and her parents on their rural property. As a young child, her love for wildlife and the environment kickstarted her journey into veterinary medicine.
Cassandra graduated, with distinction, from the University of Guelph in 2019, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology. She then went on to obtain a Masters of Science in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from the University of Guelph in 2020, where her project focused on the long-distance transport of cattle. Finally, she obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary medicine, with distinction, from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2024. Cassandra currently lives in Guelph with her fiancé, Michael, and their shepherd/retriever mix, Ralph.
Cassandra enjoys spending her free time outdoors and connecting with nature, participating in activities such as hiking, camping, stand-up paddle boarding, yoga, and snowboarding. She has special interests in small animal preventative medicine as well as emergency and critical care.
