Jaimie

Jaimie has been a friendly face at Kirkton Veterinary Clinic since 2005. She graduated from the Animal Care Program at Sheridan Collage in 2004 and joined KVC shortly after.  She spends most of my days on the Large Animal side of the clinic. Answering the phones, scheduling bovine and small ruminant visits and assisting clients as they walk in the front door. She also assists on the small animal side of the clinic when help is needed!

When Jaimie is not at work, she spends most of her free time either at ball diamond or arenas with her three children.

The fluffy orange kitty pictured above is her family cat, named Cheeto. She started her life as a stray and quickly became an important member of the family.

Jayne

Jayne has worked at KVC since 2008. She graduated from Fanshawe College in the office administration – executive program.

Currently she works in the front office. Jayne enjoys working with her two kids on their farm where they feed cattle, pigs, and have laying hens. Her pets include her three dogs, two cats (adopted from the clinic), and three goats.
In her spare time she enjoys camping with her family and watching her kids playing hockey, baseball, and horseback riding.

Marlies

RVT

Hi my name is Marlies Beach and I graduated with a diploma in Veterinary Technology from the University of Guelph Ridgetown campus in 2016.

Shortly after I wrote my registration exam to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Following in the footsteps of my RVT parents, caring for animals has always been a part of my everyday life so I knew from a young age that in some way or another I would do this as my career. My passion is working with bovines, growing up surrounded by various creatures and working on a Jersey Dairy farm through high school, working with cows has won over my heart. Although I do love my time in clinic as well, snuggling cats and dogs, working various positions, you’ll also find me on farm vaccinating and dehorning calves as well as with our ProVitro team helping with OPU and DFR’s. In my spare time I enjoy hiking/running with my dog, camping, swimming, fishing and quality time with my family and friends. I love to escape from my busy life to enjoy the great outdoors and the peaceful side of life, I hope to one day own a large property with many tree’s, close to the water to call my own! My dog Astrid, whom I rescued, and my cat Lollipop are a huge part of my little family.

Catherine

I worked in a mixed animal practice for four years before joining the Kirkton team in 2018. Coming from a farming background, I enjoy working with both large and small animals, but discovered that my passion is for small animal medicine and surgery. In my spare time I enjoy reading, kayaking and spending time with my family and friends.

In 2012 Alicia’s family decided to sell the herd and she pursued new adventures in life, which eventually lead her back to embryos and exports working here at Kirkton Veterinary Clinic 2018. In July of 2020 Alicia got back into the dairy industry with her fiancé Bill and started up Impact Farms. You will find Alicia in the barn working along side Bill before and after work and on weekends. If she’s not in the office she’s in the barn, her happy place working with her cows! Tammy

Embryo Transfer Admin Assistant

Tammy is a proud mama of three grown children (six in total now, including spouses and partners!) and a passionate Gramma to eight grandchildren!

She was an active dairy (Jersey)  farmer for most of her adult life.  She loved her cows and all the incredible life moments that came with farming and felt blessed to be a stay at home mom and raise her children on the farm during this time. She also enjoys gardening, and is very crafty, developing a passion for all things quilt and colour at an early age (positively influenced by some elderly aunts and a grandmother). This passion eventually led Tammy to opening her own quilting business, the Quilt Kitchen, which operated in Exeter until February of 2024.

Tammy joined the Kirkton Bovine Services team in April of 2024, and is enjoying the process of learning!
